The Kozhikode District Co-operative Travel and Tourism Development Society and Centre for Professional Education [KTDS] Ltd No D 2882; is a society established under the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act with the help and support of the leaders in Tourism, Industrial and Co-operative Sector. We are specializing in Inbound as well as outbound tours.
Objectives of the Society
To draw comprehensive programs and projects for the development of tourism industry with a view to provide employment opportunity among the educated and under educated youths.
To purchase or hire and run motels, hotels, inns, restaurants, lodges, snack bars, shopping centres and similar other establishments which will promote tourism and attract tourists.
To purchase or take on long lease land for providing infrastructure facilities for establishing educational institutions and tourism centres and to construct buildings wherever necessary.
To organise and conduct tours connecting tourist and pilgrim centres.
To purchase or hire and maintain vehicles for surface and water transport systems for tourist services
To start and maintain tourist centres and conduct tourism melas
To take land on long lease or otherwise from Government or other local bodies for the attainment of the above objects.
To identify places which have the potentialities for being developed as a tourist centres and draw up a development strategy for tourism in such areas.
To produce and distribute documentaries and feature films related to cultural affairs.
To establish educational centres for promotion of professional education in the field of Travel and Tourism, Hotel management and other similar professional courses with the approval of the concerned authorities of the State or Central Governments as the case may be.
To conduct tour programs to places of historical importance with in the country as well as the other foreign countries.
To implement programs and projects as envisaged by the State/Central Governments for the development of travel and tourism sector.
To establish and run Ayurvedic massage centres in places where there are scope for starting such centres.
To publish tourist guides, maps and other informative materials for the development of tourism
To take up such other works as may be conductive to the prosperity of members, tourists and generally to encourage thrift, self help, and co-operation among members
